In 1972, NV Lodewijckx was founded by the Lodewyckx brothers. What began as a modest enterprise has today grown into the Lodewijckx Group: a leading business group and supplier of high-quality eggs and egg products. Growth through strategic acquisitions

Over the past decades, the Lodewijckx Group has strengthened itself through several significant acquisitions:

Euro Ei (2009): In 2009, Lodewijckx NV acquired the West Flanders company Euro Ei. This sister company specializes in packaging eggs for a large part of the Belgian retail sector. Under the brand Ovyta, Euro Ei markets eggs enriched with Omega 3 and vitamin E. In 2013, Euro Ei moved to a state-of-the-art packing station in Tessenderlo, setting a new standard in efficiency and quality.
Pulviver (2010): A year later, Lodewijckx NV acquired the egg powder division of Belovo. To bring the wide range of egg powder products under one strong brand, Pulviver was launched. Pulviver produces an extensive range of egg white, egg yolk, and whole egg powders and has developed into a pioneer in the sector. The brand supplies products to more than 60 countries worldwide and continues to innovate to meet growing demand.

New perspectives within the Van Beek Group

In 2019, the Lodewijckx Group was acquired by the Van Beek Group, a Dutch family business with strong connections between poultry farmers and customers in the retail, food service, and food industry. The acquisition strengthened the synergy between the two companies and provided broader market access in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Merger with Kempische Eierhandel

In 2022, Euro Ei took another step forward with the acquisition of Kempische Eierhandel. After this merger, both parties continued under the name Kempische Eierhandel. Together, they focus on operational excellence by pursuing an efficient and innovative production process.
